You will find resources that you need to advocate for our campaign listed in the frame on the left. Most important is the IWLA approved position statement. This is the final version, that was approved by the Executive Board on October 28.
We are asking that you check the list under "higher ed and business to contact" to see where you might have contacts and then add your name to the list so that we know you will contact that business or university.
You will find resources you need to contact those people. In addition to sending them our position statement, you will need to send them a letter explaining our campaign. Sample letters are provided to send to business leaders, leaders in higher education and others to ask them for a letter of support for our campaign. There are three letters: a letter to send to business leaders, a letter to send to an institution of higher learning from which you graduated, and a letter to send to college administrators if you are not a graduate but have some other tie to the institution. Feel free to adjust these letters according to your particular situation. Please request that all letters are addressed to Sara Blanco, President, Iowa World Language Association.
Please use the IWLA letterhead on your letters requesting support. The letterhead template is available in the frame on the left side ofthis page.
